Parents are encouraged to participate in the operation of the Centre through: election to the volunteer Board of Directors; active involvement in policy and decision making process; programme participation; fundraising ventures; attendance at the Annual General Members meeting; and regular on-going communication with the programme staff.
All parents/guardians whose children are enrolled in the daycare are members and are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors of the daycare. the Board of Directors consist of 5 elected parents or guardians, one of whom can be a community member. The Principal of Garden Avenue Public School and the Daycare Supervisor of Sunnyside Garden Daycare sit on the Board as Ex Officio members.
