HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Sunnyside Garden Daycare Centre (SGDC) remains strongly committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for children, families and staff.
Although we have adjusted our operations to align with recommendations from the Chief Medical Officer of Health and Toronto Public Health SGDC remains in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Child Care and Early Years Act as well as our own guidance documents, policies and procedures.
RESPIRATORY VIRUSES
Staff, students, children, and visitors should screen every day before going to school or child care.
Anyone who is feeling sick or has any new or worsening symptoms of illness, should stay home until their symptoms are improving for at least 24 hours (or 48 hours for nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea) and seek assessment from their health care provider if needed.
It is strongly recommended that children and staff wear a well-fitting mask when returning from being ill.
